32.-Victoria Hospital: Hot Water System to Maternity Block. $18,000.—

Owing to the increased cost of gas the existing gas boiler and geyser service to the Maternity Block has been found very expensive and it is proposed to replace it by the introduction of a hot water supply from coal burning boilers.

33-Central Market: Fish Tanks, $2,000.-The work consists of the removal of the fresh water fish tanks from a position adjoining the

The erection of protective railings and replacement of wood and barbed wire fencings by R. C. C. and tube rails in the same Gardens are also included.

39.-Extension to Buildings Ordinance Office, $11,000.-This work consists of the extension of the three lower floors of the existing building housing the Buildings Ordinance, Waterworks and Survey Offices in order to give increased accommodation to those sub-Departments. A sum of $11,000 was voted in Supplementary Estimates 1932 to meet the cost of an extension to the ground floor only. It is considered however that the crowded condition of the Waterworks and Survey Offices warrants the erection of a three-storey extension in place of the original one-storey. The total cost is $22,000 and the sum requested will complete the work.
